Gentle Direction and Simply Posed Portraits
I love to document your wedding in as natural a way as possible, with no intervention. However, I do recognize that some may wish to have a few small family group photographs, and possibly a small selection of simply posed portraits taken of themselves. This wouldn’t be a problem, and one of the few occasions I will actually manage the proceedings on your day.
Simply Posed Portraits of the Couple
Here, I can offer the couple the opportunity to take a little time away from their guests, and have some simply posed portraits taken of themselves. This allows the couple the opportunity to regroup, collect their thoughts, and spend a little time away from the hustle and bustle of the main wedding party.
All my portraits are kept as natural as possible. I offer gentle direction, and will not ask the couple to do any weird, unnatural or embarrassing poses! I will often lead them on a small circuit around the venue grounds, taking in the scenery, whilst I quietly take their portraits.
I recommend allowing approximately twenty to thirty minutes for the bride and groom portraits,(this time can be made shorter should you wish) so you won’t be away from your guest’s for too long.
Small Family Group Photographs
Once again, I prefer to cover your wedding day in a natural Documentary Style. For this reason, I do not work from any detailed lists, except in the case of the small family group photographs. I recommend no more than six small family groups, these can take approximately twenty minutes, and usually includes your immediate family, i.e. parents, siblings, grandparents and the bridal party etc.
Most of my wedding couples book my services for my unobtrusive style, taking natural unposed images throughout their wedding day. Occasionally, I receive requests on the day, from my wedding couples, for a few simply posed shots of the bride or groom on their own, or perhaps with their parents, bridesmaids, or other close family members before the ceremony, which I would be happy to accommodate, should you wish.
